GPS COORDINATES / PHYSICAL ADDRESS FOR THE THE GABLES: The physical address for The Gables 1
Wharncliffe Avenue, Gilbert, WV  25621.  However, MapQuest does not recognize this address. The GPS coordinates
for The Gables Cabin are 37   36'  39.13" North  Latitude  &   81 52'  13.16"  W  Longitude.

LOCAL DIRECTIONS TO THE GABLES - COMING IN TO GILBERT ON US-52 N (from Bluefield/Hanover/Justice,
WV area)
---Follow Route US-52 N / WV-80 N all the way into Gilbert.
---After the "Welcome to Gilbert" sign, continue to the intersection of US-52 & WV-80 (Hardees is on the right)
--At the intersection, TURN LEFT onto Route WV-52 N. & cross the Buck Harless Bridge.
---A short distance after passing a Foodland shopping center on your left - put your signal on to veer off left in front of
Gilbert Town Hall (a converted school house). This will put you on Wharncliffe Ave (an old gas station will be on your
right.) Cross a small, one-lane bridge.  
---The Gables is the 4th house on the right (pull in at the first large graveled parking area.)  

LOCAL DIRECTIONS TO THE GABLES - COMING IN TO GILBERT ON WV-80 S (from Logan/Man, WV area)
---From Logan go WV-10 S to Man, appx 13 miles
---From man, follow WV-80 S all the way into Gilbert.
---After the "Welcome to Gilbert" sign, continue on Route 80 for about 2 miles past the fire dept & a red caboose, on the
right.  
---Proceed a short distance to a stop sign @ the intersection of Route 80 & Route 52.  Stay straight on Route 52 North,
crossing the Buck Harless bridge.  
---A short distance after passing a Foodland shopping center on your left - put your signal on to veer off left in front of
Gilbert Town Hall (a converted school house). This will put you on Wharncliffe Ave (an old gas station will be on your
right.) Cross a small, one-lane bridge.

LOCAL DIRECTIONS TO THE GABLES - COMING INTO GILBERT ON US-52 S (from Williamson, WV)
---From Williamson, follow Route US-52 S about 20-25 miles to the intersection of US-52 & WV-44  
---Stay straight to keep on US-52 South, toward Gilbert.  
---Drive 7-8 miles to the "Welcome to Gilbert" sign, continue about 2 miles.  
---Make a sharp right (at Town Hall) onto WharnCliffe Ave (Happy Days Diner will be on your left.)  
---Cross a small, one-lane bridge.  
---The Gables is the 4th house on the right (pull in at the first large graveled parking area.)  

THE NARROW ROADS IN THIS AREA CAN BE MIND BOGGLING, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU'RE DRIVING LATE
AT NIGHT.  IF YOU GET LOST, THINK YOU MAY BE LOST (OR JUST "BEWILDERED"- to which my husband will
only admit)...DO NOT HESITATE TO CALL ANY TIME, DAY-or-NIGHT.
